Organizational byline

Ship Name Lab Research Desk

The Research Desk is the organizational byline for benchmark, methodology, and field-note work published by Ship Name Lab. It is not a fictional personal identity.

What the byline means

Articles under this name are maintained as product documentation and editorial research. They are tied to a public method, a review date, source links where factual history is discussed, and a change note. We use an organization byline because the work belongs to the product and may be revised as the engine or evidence changes.

Review standard

  • Run examples against the documented production engine version.
  • Separate structural scores from pronunciation and cultural judgment.
  • Link primary or community documentation for factual claims.
  • State product limits instead of presenting generated output as authority.
  • Keep correction dates and material change notes on each field note.

Tools and responsibility

Software may assist with research organization, drafting, testing, and editing. We do not treat generated prose or generated names as evidence. Publication responsibility remains with Ship Name Lab: claims must be traceable, examples must match the versioned engine, and uncertain language or community judgments must be labeled.

Corrections

Send the page URL, disputed statement or output, relevant context, and supporting source to [email protected]. For an engine result, include the displayed engine version and avoid unrelated private information.
